Mr. Adams has an M.S. in Manpower Management (Human Resources Management) and has been in the Personnel, Safety and Workers' Compensation fields (now called Human Resources) as a Consultant, Personnel Director and Personnel Specialist for over thirty years. He is adept at the analysis, design, implementation and administration of company Human Resources needs. He specializes in providing his clients the full breadth and depth of Human Resources expertise with a focus on reasonable compliance. He usually starts with a Human Resources audit, followed by a list of recommendations, project design and implementation.
Mr. Adams observed that small and medium sized companies need the same expertise in Human Resources that large companies have utilized for years, but in smaller quantities. For over the last 33 years the Adams HR Enterprises' mission has been to fill that gap left between the very smallest employers needing no Human Resources department and the larger companies that enjoy full-time, fully staffed Human Resources departments by providing part-time on-premises Human Resources professional and executive skills. As such, Mr. Adams was a leader in the area of long term retained consulting and has typically developed long term relationships with his clients lasting many years. Since Human Resources covers almost all businesses, clients have come from a wide variety of industries including: manufacturing, electronics, computer, retail, hotel, food processing, restaurant, printing, architecture, accounting, aircraft and scrap metal just to name a few.
This approach to filling the needs of smaller companies with on-premises part-time executives (out sourcing) was so unique at the time, that in the first ten years of business, reporters sought out Mr. Adams to write newspaper and magazine articles about Adams HR Enterprises. Mr. Adams was also a frequent speaker on the subject. Today it is a common and accepted way of doing business.
In addition to performing part-time on-premises retained consulting, ADAMS HR ENTERPRISES often completes assignments on a project basis. Mr. Adams is also retained as a mentor and coach to executives and their staff. Furthermore, Mr. Adams is sought out by employment law attorneys as an expert witness on discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, safety and workers' compensation law suits. In that capacity Mr. Adams has become a member of the distinguished Forensic Consultants Association of Orange County. (See www.forensic.org)
Mr. Adams is also one of the founding members of the Association of Professional Consultants (APC) an Orange County based consulting association that was incorporated as a California nonprofit corporation in 1980. (See www.consultapc.org) Membership is exclusive to consultants that can prove to the Association they provide a quality service to the business community. Mr. Adams was President of the APC four times during the Association's formative years. His positive attitude and determination that the APC would survive, coupled with his many years of hard work, provided the foundation on which the Association has built its current success.
